Ecumenical Symposium Highlights the Environment

(22 Oct 09 - RV) An ecumenical symposium titled  "Religion, Science and Environment", is taking place this week in New Orleans, Louisiana, where in 2005 Hurricane Katrina devastated the city.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Church leaders in the United States are listening to a range of scholars, and discussing a common catholic approach to ecological crises and ways to meet the challenges that affect water systems worldwide.
