The Vatican's top spokesman on ecumenical dialogue, Cardinal Walter Kasper has just returned from a visit to Athens. While there he met for the first time with the leader of the Orthodox church. The Greek Orthodox church, which officially includes over 95% of the population, has traditionally been wary of contacts or dialogue with other Christians.
